Ursula is passionate about focusing on health without emphasis on weight and body size. She uses a caring client-centered approach to hearing your concerns about eating, body image, and health. As a Registered Dietitian she’s invested in helping you discover new tools to create positive change in your life.
A Little About Ursula:
I’m a San Diego native and enjoy spending time with my family and friends. As a mom of two children (ages 4 and 11) I’m constantly looking for balance between juggling time with my husband and kids, work, and household demands. Oh yeah, and of course my own self-care! As many of you know it’s not always easy and certainly takes practice. I love being outdoors – walking, camping, and spending time at the bay or beach.
I first became interested in understanding eating disorders while studying nutrition at San Diego State University. Since graduating in 2000, I’ve made it priority to connect with others treating eating disorders, educate the community and professionals through speaking, and stay abreast of changes in the field. I’ve learned that there’s no single best way to treat eating disorders but instead have come to use a compilation of resources, techniques, and strategies and strongly believe that a multidisciplinary team is important to support my clients.
